Through Small Group Learning
Ms. Tea’s Learning Studio is a small group micro-school serving families in Princeton, Texas and surrounding communities.
Our learning studio was created to provide students with a structured, supportive environment where they can rebuild confidence, stay engaged, and develop a genuine love for learning.
As a mother raising young Black boys, I understand the concerns many families have about whether their children are truly being seen, supported, and understood in traditional classroom environments.
Ms. Tea’s Learning Studio was created to give students the opportunity to learn in a setting where their potential is recognized, their energy is guided, and their growth is supported every day.

Was Created
Ms. Tea’s Learning Studio was born out of a very personal experience.
Like many parents, I watched my own son struggle in the traditional public school system. After being diagnosed with ADHD, it became clear that the large classroom environment made it difficult for him to receive the attention and support he needed to thrive.
He was intelligent, curious, and capable, but the structure of large classrooms often made it difficult for teachers to provide the individualized support some students need.
As I began talking with other parents, especially parents of young Black boys, I realized many families were experiencing the same concerns.
Children who were bright and capable were being labeled as distracted, disruptive, or behind, when in reality they simply needed a learning environment that understood how they learn best.
That experience showed me that many parents are facing the same challenges but often feel unsure about how to advocate for their child within the education system.
Ms. Tea’s Learning Studio was created not only to support students academically, but also to help families feel more confident in understanding and advocating for their child’s educational journey.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a structured and supportive learning environment where students who struggle in traditional classrooms can rebuild confidence and develop a genuine love for learning.
We focus on helping students strengthen their academic foundations while also developing important life skills such as discipline, responsibility, focus, and leadership.
In addition to supporting students, Ms. Tea’s Learning Studio is also committed to helping parents understand how to advocate for their children’s educational needs. Many families want to support their child but are not always given the tools/guidance to do so.
Our goal is to empower both students and parents so that children receive the support they need to succeed both inside and outside of the classroom.
Our Learning Philosophy
At Ms. Tea’s Learning Studio, students experience a balanced learning day that includes structured academics, independent learning, and hands-on exploration.
Our curriculum focuses on core subjects such as:
• Math
• Science
• Language Arts and Reading
• History and Civics
Students also have opportunities to explore additional areas such as financial literacy, entrepreneurship, leadership development, and life skills.
By combining structured instruction with smaller class sizes, we are able to provide the attention and encouragement that many students need to thrive.
